Brand new ergonomic, pet feeding bowl, coming to the US, Friday, March 6th

I scour the pet market to bring you the latest scoop and unique products. This one is a real treat!

This pet product is brand new to the US, and is called “hugx™” (pronounced hugs). It is a very unique, ergonomic pet feeding bowl, and was developed in the UK.

I ran into the first distributor for the US market. This is an internet based company called Chimpfeet.com. If you read my article on How about an edible dog greeting card?  you have heard of Chimpfeet. Hugx™ will be available this Friday. So if you want to be the 1st in the U.S. to own this great invention for your pets, jump online.

Hugx ™ has received the Pet Fashion Week New York 2008 Lifestyle Innovation Award. This product has received the highest levels of excellence in pet product design. This is a serious invention and a result of extensive research on the importance of the angle of the bowl.

The hugx ™ bowl was designed by, Bigsmall, of the University of Ulster. To give you an idea of the innovation and complexity achieved by this designer, other inventions include, body panels for the MCC Smart car, bumpers for the Mercedes M Class, and the instrument panel for the Audi A2.

This unique bowl is known to be designed from a “pet’s perspective”. Ergonomically, during the research, studies have shown that “the optimum angle of tilt is 32.5 degrees and this bowl can grow with your pet.

Did you know that pets can be stressed when they are eating from the noise of their metal tags hitting the sides of their bowls?
Is your pet on a diet, and you needed to monitor his food but feel that the little amount of food is overwhelming to the size of the bowl?
Did you know that your pet can be frustrated with metal tags getting in the way of the bowl while eating?
Do you need to change the size of the bowl as your dog grows?

Well, hugx ™ bowls will solve these problems. Some of the benefits include:

  • Hugx ™ bowls are mounted on a rust-proof aluminum frame, with non-slip, matching rubber “paws.” The bowl is made of a high gloss ABS plastic. Due to the unique angle, gravity assists in “hugging” the bowl to the floor. This design reduces the vibrations and noise when metal tags hit the sides of conventional bowls. This can actually stress out your pets.

  • The angle of the bowl also assists pets with special collars and hanging tags to eat without interference providing them with a quiet, effortless feeding experience.

  • The hugx ™ bowl grows with the puppy or kitten. The bowl can be turned 180 degrees in its stand which gives your pet easy access and younger pets can still reach their food. You can keep adjusting the angle as your pet grows allowing you to use the same bowl. Also, you can control the amount of food the bowl actually holds which is great for pets on a diet!

The bowl comes in 2 sizes:
Mini hugx 13.5” x 8”x 4” with a capacity of approximately 10oz.
Max hugx 16.75”x 9.75” x 6”

Now for the pet owners, the hugx ™ bowl lifts out of the stand for very easy cleaning. You can also choose from four brilliant colors, pink, white, red and blue.

The best part about it is, hugx ™ bowls provides your pets with a “less stressful and more comfortable” feeding experience. The bowl officially hits the net on Friday, March 6th. Pre-orders are also being taken at www.chimpfeet.com !

Helo, I have seen these dog bowls in use and they are so versatile. They can be used by any size of a dog and stop water spilling on to the floor. Brillant invention.
