Caruthersville Humane Society teams with the city of Caruthersville to provide quality care and shelter to area strays and rescues while helping to find them to find homes. Caruthersville is located in the bootheel of Missouri. They are 3 hours South of St. Louis and 1 1/2 hours north of Memphis, TN. Just 5 miles from Interstate 55.

The Caruthersville Humane Society, like all shelters has a wish list. A list of items that they will accept donations of. Please note the following items that Caruthersville could make good use of.
- Blankets
- Treats for dogs and cats
- Laundry soap
- A cat play set
- Stainless food bowls
- Stainless water buckets
This shelter, like so many others, operates on a very small budget. Monetary donations are also welcomed! You may make cash donations at the shelter during their normal business hours, or send a check to the address mentioned above, made out to the Caruthersville Humane Society. In the near future you will be able to donate via Paypal, a safe and secure way to donate money online.
Also, volunteers are always welcome at the shelter. Volunteers can clean, feed, socialize pets, help with adoptions, take photographs, etc. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact Erma or Karole at the shelter and they will tell you how to get started.
