A 2000 graduate of Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she has worked on and learned from animals ranging from the traditional dog and cat to the non-traditional pet such as the rabbit, ferret and bird. In 2008 she completed training as a canine rehabilitation therapist, a field that applies human physical therapy tools and techniques to animal patients. Founding Canine Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine of Mississippi or MS K9 Rehab she offers her services to the paralyzed, arthritic and athletic dogs of Mississippi. She strives to not only offer services to these often over-looked pets, but to educate every pet owner how to prevent illness and provide the highest quality of life for their pet.
