Since its debut in 1982, "Tron" has evolved into a landmark piece of science fiction with its hybrid of early CGI and gaming within the concept of living in a digital world. "Tron: Legacy" is a stand alone film that fast forwards the narrative into a brave new world. Hyped as one of the most technologically advanced films in recent years, fans will recognize such signature "Tron" images as the light cycles and the return of Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn.
Directed by Joseph Kosinksi, "Tron: Legacy" also stars Garrett Hedlund and Olivia Wilde. Rumored to be part of the cast are Michael Sheen, John Hurt and "Tron" veteran Bruce Boxleitner.
Set for release in 2010, Disney will release "Tron: Legacy" in 3-D and in IMAX 3-D.
