
The "Nine" soundtrack high kicks it into release on December 15th.
Following a week of heavy media rotation on television featuring its glittering cast, word is the soundtrack to Rob Marshall's film version of the Tony Award-winning musical "Nine" has been set for a digital release on December 15. The disc's retail release is set for December 22, the week of the film's national release on Christmas Day.
The 16-track Geffen Records disc is set to include the songs featured in the film, plus four bonus tracks. In addition to a Ron Fair remix of Kate Hudson's "Cinema Italiano," 19-year-old sensation Griffith Frank will offer his soulful take on "Unusual Way." Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson, who appears in the film, will also contribute a new version of the 1960's pop song "Quando Quando Quando." And stellar retro rock stars The Noisettes will offer "Io Baci, Tu Baci."
An early Oscar favorite, "Nine" hits theaters on December 18 with exclusive engagements in New York and Los Angeles, followed by a nationwide release on December 25.
