Leona Lewis' heart will go on the 'Avatar' soundtrack.
After news that Adam Lambert would perform "Time for Miracles" on the "2012" soundtrack rocked the universe, the folks behind "Avatar" are keen to heighten the super pop ballad sweepstakes. Add Leona Lewis to perform what has been missing these many months: the epic, end title song!
Lewis, who rose to global fame following her winning Britain's "X-Factor" talent contest, has been tapped to perform "I See You (Theme From 'Avatar')." And yes, James Horner, who also wrote the legendary (depending who you ask) theme from Cameron's "Titanic," is handling chores for "Avatar." (I won't mention the title of that infamous Oscar-winning tune. One, you'll never get it out of your head. Two, you''ll probably start banging your chest like Celine before you finish this sentence.)

Lewis is already shooting the video, which is being directed by Jake Nava. You can almost sense she's going for the full Na'vi on this one, right? We’ll find out soon. "I See You (Theme from 'Avatar')" can be heard on December 14th.
Meanwhile, Lewis' second album, "Echo" dropped worldwide today. Check it out on iTunes now. And, she is scheduled to perform her new single, "Happy" on tonight's action and star-packed (Alicia Keys! "Nine!")elimination episode of "Dancing with the Stars."
