The softer side of Christina Aguilera highlights her first album of new music in three years.  Find out who else played a role in nurturing the future sounds of "Bionic," set to drop this March.

Grammy winning pop superstar Christina Aguilera is launching a full media return in 2010. First up is "Bionic," her first album in three years.  Aguilera cites motherhood as the source of inspiration for her latest musical effort. In a recent interview for Marie Claire, the singer said one track “is about the future,” crediting her son Max as inspiring “Lullaby,” which was a collaboration with Australian singer Sia.

The first single is expected to be the Tricky Stewart production called “Glam,” which is being described as “a poppy, hip-hop-inflected throwback to Madonna’s ‘Vogue.’”Also participating in the "Bionic" project were Flo Rida, Santigold, M.I.A., and Ladytron. Hot production duo Focus and Detail were responsible for the provocatively titled slice of electronica, "Sex for Breakfast."

In an interview with Rap-up.com last fall, producer Tricky offered this exciting insights into "Bionic."

“I really feel it’s one of her best bodies of work that I’ve heard since 'Stripped,'” Tricky said, who is also handling production chores on her still-in-production musical film, "Burlesque."

“She’s mixing it up again," he added. "She’s singing R&B again, she’s doing pop. She’s doing it all, but she’s found a way to make it all meet in the middle.”

"Bionic" is set to conquer airwaves this March. "Burlesque," co-starring Cam Gigandet, Kristen Bell, Eric Dane, Stanley Tucci and Cher, is set for release this November.

Don't get me wrong I love GaGa and think she's extremely talented but vocally Christina still blows her (and pretty much everyone) out of the water. I think it was pathetic how quickly everyone labeled her as trying to copy GaGa when Keeps Getting Better Dropped last year just b/c of the blond hair. GaGa makes the same kind of electro-pop as Madonna, Kylie and the other dance divas...yet when Christina makes it she's "copying" GaGa. Christina has always faced a 2 front battle against performers like Britney (and the people that say she's not entertaining) and against the great vocalists like Mariah and Whitney (and those that say she oversings, or the material doesn't live up to her vocals etc). Regardless I still believe she's the best singer of this generation and can't wait for this album.

I agree with every word u say, Keith. Christina is the voice of our generation. Pop music would just be the same if there is no Christina Aguilera.
