Forbidden Broadway Christmas at the Gem Theatre
A Forbidden Broadway Christmas returns to the Gem Theatre

After setting a record for the Gem Theatre's best holiday show in 2007, A Forbidden Broadway Christmas returns to the Gem Theatre, running until New Year’s Eve. This hilarious show stars Janet Caine, Mark David Kaplan, Jason Richards and Kimberly Vanbiesbrouck.
The four actors, with trained theatre voices, imitate legendary stars of Broadway, while twisting the words to create hysterically funny parodies. I laughed until I had tears in my eyes.
Janet Caine appeared in an outrageous spoof on Barbra Streisand and Celine Dion, hitting very high notes while mocking the diva personas. Kimberly Vanbiesbrouck portrays a deliciously evil twist on Julie Andrews, and taught her dog Sandie new tricks while portraying Annie. Mark and Jason’s zany characters include The Grinch, the miserables from Les Miserables, and a seductive Elvis sporting a mistletoe brooch just above his crotch.
Seating is either at cabaret tables, where guests can enjoy their soft drinks, wines, beers, and cheese plates, or in traditional rows of seats in the balcony.
