Here we go again, after cornering the market on shows heavy in the comedic pastie department. Gorilla Tango is extending their monopoly with a great new fantasy action adventure show. FELLOWSHIP OF THE BOOBS at Gorilla Tango Theatre brings broadswords, breastplates, baudiness, and brilliance to the Chicago Burlesque scene. You'll join Bruste Oakentits (a Dwarf), Isdra Silverbosom (an Elf), Pectus Ironchest (an Amazon Warrior) and a mysterious Fourth Companion as they journey over sea, under mountain, and right out of their semi-protective armor.
Did you stay up all night playing Dungeons and Dragons in high school or college? Did you imagine the attractiveness of the female characters in your adventures? Well, no, of course not, because GIRLS don't play D&D! You can now play your adventures out in full, with a huge, all female cast of adventurers, villian, and supporting characters. There's battle, one dice roll and plenty of skin, yes skin, these Elfs, Dwarfs, and Warriors don't lose hit points, they lose items of clothing. It's a wet dream for any nerd!
The cast is top notch and it's created and directed by MsPixy. There are some amazingly choreographed scenes. One involves a six armed spider, played by Roofie Colada trapping Dinah Dentata as the Elf in a coccoon. The back lit scene with the Elf entwined in webbing and the spider wraping her arms around her is a beautiful dance number that's "professional dance company" quality. It's captivating and while the rest of the show is not as intense, it is certainly entertaining and full of breasts and laughs! I attended a preview in which London Derriere as The Warrior has a wardrobe malfunction and she stayed in chraracter with her very cute Nordic accent and causually said hello to her nipple. Her performance was great fun and full of enthusiasm and the supporting cast, Mama Bare as Dungeon Master & Skip Nippler, Sweet Ginger Rose as Tip Wench, Lacey Lay as Birch Nymph & Pixie, and Roofie Colada as Spider & Pixie,
is even better.
You can't go wrong with this one folks, it's playing Thursdays at 9:30 at Gorilla Tango Theatre in Bucktown.
