July 18, 2010/ Paulding County, GA – When Obamacare was passed by the House, a CNN poll had revealed that 56 percent of the public disapproved of the law. In Paulding County, liberal democrats approved of the government's healthcare handout while Republicans disapproved.

In less than a year since Obamacare’s passage, a move to repeal the law has gained momentum in the US House of Representatives.

On July 9, 2010, Congressman Steve King (R-IA) had announced that efforts to force the House of Representatives to vote on legislation providing for a 100% repeal of “Obamacare” continued to gain momentum, with the addition of the 109th signature.

“Efforts to repeal the deeply unpopular ‘Obamacare’ bill continue to gather momentum,” said King. “With the addition of Congressman Hall’s signature, we now have 109 Members of the House of Representatives on record calling for full repeal of ‘Obamacare’, including Republican Leader Boehner, Republican Whip Cantor and GOP Conference Chairman Pence. I expect these numbers to continue to swell as Members of Congress return to Washington after hearing from their constituents over the July 4th holiday period.”

The proposal states: "Pursuant to clause 2 of rule XV, I, Steve King of Iowa, move to discharge the Committees on Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means, Education and Labor, the Judiciary, Natural Resources, Rules, House Administration and Appropriations from the consideration of the bill (H.R. 4972) to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which was referred to said committees on March 25, 2010, in support of which motion the undersigned Members of the House of Representatives affix their signatures."

A report was released and some of the Obamacare findings concluded:

• Some of the nation's largest employers have announced they will be forced to make cutbacks as a result of Obamacare's job-killing mandates.
• Two independent government entities … have confirmed that the new law fails to lower health-care costs and reduce the deficit.
• Obamacare includes at least a dozen violations of President Obama's pledge to not raise taxes on middle-class families.
• The government has confirmed that the new law's massive Medicare cuts will fall squarely on the backs of seniors, millions of whom will be forced off their current Medicare coverage.

Now on July 18, 2010, 133 House of Representative have now signed on to work on repealing Obamacare.

The latest U.S. Reps to sign on are Jo Ann Emerson of Missouri, Frank Wolf of Virginia, George Radanovich of California, Steve Austria of Ohio, Greg Walden of Oregon, Frank D. Lucas of Oklahoma, Adrian Smith of Nebraska and Jeff Fortenberry of Nebraska.

The US Congressmen from Georgia who signed on to repeal Obamacare includes US Reps. Broun, Gingrey, Graves, Kingston, Linder, Price, and Westmorland.

While some healthcare reforms are needed, Obamacare is the last thing this nation needs. With 133 members who have now signed on, only 218 members are needed to get this repeal legislation to the floor and at this rate, they are almost there.
