August 16, 2010/Paulding County, GA- (Breaking News) – The Paulding County Republican Examiner has been sent a release of an important Paulding County citizen’s event to be held this week.
The discussion will center on the millage rate increase and the proposed 2011 budget prior to next weeks hearing.
Last Tuesday, the Paulding County Commissioners voted to raise the millage rate in Paulding County from 6.65 to 7.60.
On Tues. Aug. 24, the Paulding County Commissioners is having a public hearing to discuss the 2011 budget.
This concerned citizens group is inviting all county taxpayers to attend this meeting or to have a proxy if any citizen cannot make it.
The promoter of this meeting, Mr. Roy Sparks stated,” We need to take back our government. They will tell you your taxes are not going up, that they are going down. If your taxes go down at all it is because your property value went down, not your taxes.”
“Don't you think they should cut back like all of us have to do?” Roy said.
The meeting is being held on Thursday, August 19, at 7:00 pm at Paulding Meadows/Earl Duncan Park at the amphitheatre in Dallas.
Roy said, “Come to the meeting to learn more. You may want to bring a chair. If you tell 10 friends and they tell 10 friends and so and so on, we may have a good crowd. The more we have the more our voice may count. We will have petitions to sign for those who cannot be at the meeting on the 24th with the commissioners.”
Roy stated that if anyone needs more information, he can be reached at 404-227-4960.
