Mexican Cultural Institute Presents Mexican Table 2010 with Patricia Jinich: Cooking with Chiles and Flowers
Have you ever wondered what happens when you combine edible flowers andchiles? Mexican cuisine can tell you a lot about this combination! Come learn about the edible side of exotic flowers and the wondrous depth of a variety of chiles. You will be surprised: Not all that you can make with chiles is spicy... Watch an entertaining demonstration, followed by a sumptuous dinner with fresh cheese and squash blossom quesadillas and Giant shrimp in a Hibiscus flower mole sauce, accompanied with wine, beer and music. As a souvenir, take home the recipes as well as some ingredients to get you started.

L'Auberge Chez Francois Presents “Love Begins in the Kitchen/Lewd Food” Series: Peppers
Join Chef Jacques Haeringer at the award winning L’Auberge Chez Francois for an entertaining cooking demonstration and delightful meal. In this lesson, you will explore the history and erotic lore of the world's most alluring spice, pepper. Jacques will share his passion for classic and contemporary French cuisine and teach expert cooking techniques and tricks of the trade followed by fine food and wine. Each cooking event includes a demonstration hosted by Chef Jacques, followed by a five-course luncheon, paired with three fine wines, selected by L’Auberge Chez Francois’s sommelier, Paul Haeringer. A Vintner will be on hand to present and discuss each wine paring.
