“As the national voice of Canadians living with Parkinson’s disease, our purpose is to ease the burden and find a cure through research, education, advocacy and support services. Our vision is: A better life with a brighter future for Canadians living with Parkinson’s today. A world without Parkinson’s tomorrow.”
Mission and vision statement of Parkinson Society Canada (PSC).
Based at 4211 Yonge Street, the Central and North Ontario chapter of Parkinson Society Canada is one of 235 support groups across the country that aim to enhance the lives of Canadians living with Parkinson’s disease. The Central and Northern Ontario region extends from St. Catherines to Kingston and then north to include all of Northern Ontario. The Toronto area has a number of support groups and a Community Development Coordinator whose role is to support people living with Parkinson’s throughout the GTA.
