Free Green Day concert in Central Park

New Green Day CD

Green Day, the punk rock band that hit big with their American Idiot Cd a few years back, is in New York City this promoting their new CD, 21st Century Breakdown. This Friday, May 22, they are going to kick off Good Morning America's summer concert series in Central Park.

Green Day is a band that appeals to both teens and adults so it is a good concert for parents and teens to both attend, The new CD, 21st Century Breakdown is receiving excellent reviews. Although Good Morning America tapes from 7am to 9am, it is suggested that anyone coming to see the concert live arrive at 6am when the park opens.

Good Morning America's summer concert series had previously been held in Bryant Park. You can now find it at the Rumsey Playfield in Central Park where the SummerStage concert series is held. The best way to get there is to enter the park at 5th Avenue and 69th Street. I hope that I can get up early enough to see this free Green Day concert in NYC.

Mare, you are right. But it wasn't until American Idiot when they became so big that all ages became fans of theirs. Before American Idiot, most baby boomers only knew "Time of Your Life" and that was because it was featured in the Seinfeld finale.

No Jennife is right, there were no 30 somethings out there listening to basket case...it was when American Idiot came out that they exploded. Just look up cd sales. American Idiot sold much more than any other cd they made. Its all in the numbers..
