I was outside talking with a neighbor a few months ago when he pulled a little squirt bottle from his pocket. He sprayed a mosquito on his sleeve, and then sprayed into his own mouth.
This piqued my interest. The only bug repellent on the market that seems to work contains DEET, and I am not a big fan of dousing my toddler with it (or my own pregnant self). The American Academy of Pediatrics does not recommend using DEET on children under age two, and to be very careful with it on older children.
