Parents of gassy babies have one more thing to worry about. Mylicon is voluntarily recalling 12,000 units of its anti-gas drops for infants.
Earlier this week, the company issued a statement that some of its one-ounce plastic Mylicon bottles may have metal fragments in them. If you bought your Mylicon bottle months ago, don’t worry. These bottles were distributed after October 5, 2008.
There are two lots of Infants’ Mylicon Gas Relief Dye-Free drops non-staining one-ounce bottles included in the recall:

The lot number is printed on the bottom of the Mylicon box, and also on the lower left side of the sticker on the bottle.
If your baby has already ingested some of this, he or she is probably fine. The company states that “the potential for serious medical events is low.” However, stop using the product, and contact your pediatrician if you are concerned.
