Who will get custody of Jackson's 3 children?
Things often come in threes and this week, we have had three celebrity deaths. Ed McMahon died on Tuesday, Farrah Fawcett this morning and incomprehensibly Michael Jackson only a few hours later.
Along with being a music legend and being the King of Pop: Michele Jackson was Dad to three. His two oldest children Michael Joseph, Jr, and Paris Michael Katherine were born to his then wife, Debbie Rowe. His youngest, Prince "Blanket" Michael II was born via a surrogate mother.
With Jackson’s death, what happens to his three children? Normally, the kids would simply go and live with their Mother (at least the two oldest) but Debbie Rowe gave up her prenatal rights. In fact, in the court papers uncovered by TMZ, Rowe is asked specifically about understanding what it meant to give up her parental rights. And in one telling question she is asked, “have you ever considered the possibility if Michael should die, what would happen to the children?” Her answer was, “I'm sure he's he has a wonderful person in mind to take care of them.”
Questions are rising as to who that someone would be. Brian Oxman, Jackson family’s lawyer hinted it may be Jackson’s own Mother, telling Radar Online that regarding Jackson’s three children, “probably Mrs. Jackson will take care of them, she loves them dearly.”
But, his statement has brought up yet another question: wouldn’t Jackson’s lawyer have been the one to write up the will and therefore know where the kids would be going? His use of the word probably has brought up concerns as to whether or not Jackson has actually drawn up a will naming a guardian or if the lawyer is avoiding a direct answer. And if there is no guardian named, will Debbie Rowe use that opening to attempt to get her children back?

I heard that probably too and as my husband is a lawyer, I know there would never be a probably! Maybe the Mom will try to get them, all three. Hmmm, hard to know what will happen but a good question to ponder.
The mother is nearly 80. Doesn't make sense that they'd go live with her.
There will be a fiasco even if there isn't one. The media requires it, as it will be very profitable.
Not only is the Mom old, he has said his Dad abused him so why would he leave his kids to them. Would he not have a will??
Maybe he'll give them to Lisa presley, hey they were married once! Or the Nanny that got sock, the kids loved her.

I think the nanny will have the children but under the eye of all his family he will be sadley missed all around the world.
I would like to see the children spend the rest of their childhood in a "normal" family
Michaels dad is said to be a big time abuser and according to his daughters, even a molester. Those kids have enough weird stuff to cope with already, so I just pray they never have to live with that sicko.
The mother to jack should just keep the children, I hope she is still not married to jack's dad the abuser. if she is, his sisters should keep the children.

I would hope he thought this through an left one in his will. It would be wrong to give them randomlly out by his lawyer, the court would step in, right?
It would be so nice for the children to grow up in a loving family, which Micheal I'm sure gave them with no boundaries. However, let them be children, not a source of interest or riddicule which they have been in the past with the weird masks he made them wear. Like any grieving child they need to be with and around people who can deal with this and help them work through their fathers death. Everybody will be thinking of those children and what is to become of them.

I pray the kids will be able to survive the death of their Dad and that they world doesn't hurt them anymore. As a parent, I know my kids would be devistated if they lost their Dad.
I am sad to hear this tragic news, and the most upsetting is the media and all it's publicity. The man was not gone even 24 hours and the crap flies. How tragic for his family and above all his children. Let him rest in peace the last years of his life he was dragged through the mud must it continue? Apparently from Debbie Rowe's attorney, she did NOT lose her parental rights. The judge was going to take them, but changed his mind. So her parental rights to Prince Michael and Paris Michael Katherine are intact. Now, as to whether she wants custody, that is yet to be determined. Although Michaels mother might be very loving, she's a bit OLD in my opinion. And isn't Joe Sr living there? I wouldn't let him get within 100 ft of children, after what he did to Michael and his brothers.
I agree with the comment they should go to Janet. Janet and Michael were close and I think she would be great.
How sad for this whole family no matter if you did like Michael Jackson or not.

oh dear GOD please dont give them children back to their mother. Im truely sorry for that statement but that is how i feel. Those children are Michael's children and should be raised by Michael's family. Where in the world do we have the right to claim Michael's family is crazy, Michael's family has problems just as yours or mine but because they are popular and stars the press seems to have a blast digging into their private life. I feel those children can and will be loved by the JACKSON family! THEY ARE IN DEED MICHAEL JACKSONS CHILDREN... I dont care how he got them HE WAS THEIR FATHER....

The poor children should be raised together and Debbie Rowe should not be allowed to take the older two. Probably their Grandmother is no doubt the best person to raise the children. RIP Michael

Debbie Rowe gave up her rights and received her "payment". The Jackson's are elderly. Janet would be my choice.
