When I was a child, I don’t remember any Christmas items or displays in the stores until after Thanksgiving. Not anymore. In fact, it seems to get earlier and earlier every year and so I guess we shouldn’t be too surprised that stores are shooting to get their products out this next week! Walmart is at the front of the line, announcing the opening of their Christmas shops (by October 10) where there will be many value offers such as ornament packs for $5. Walmart also made public their plans to lower prices for the holiday season. Along with $299 computers: they are cutting their prices on 10 popular toys to just $10 each with more cuts to follow. In case you want to get an early start on your Christmas shopping, Wal-Mart’s $10 toys are: Bakugan by Spinmaster Barbie and her dog, Tanner Barbie Mariposa (butterfly-winged) Doll Stroller Fur Real Newborn Animals Hot Wheels Trick Tracks Hot Wheels Beast Bash Littlest Pet Shop VIPs Play-Doh Ice Cream Shop Tonka Light and Sound Vehicles Soon after, Target announced it will continue to offer their toys at the lowest price, including the matching of Walmart’s $10 toys. Time to get started on those Christmas list!
