Are you kidding me? There's more snow headed for this area?

Well, if you've exhausted every indoor activity why not use what will probably be more inside time to go through your kids clothes and toys in preparation for the Just Between Friends Spring Sale.

The sale, run by sisters Kelly and Kate Hardy, is the nation's largest children's consignment and maternity sale and will take place April 9th through 11th at the Brandywine Youth Center in Glen Mills, Pa.

The sale will feature kids dresses, swimwear, shorts, sandals and raincoats.  Games, puzzles, baby equipment, furniture and maternity clothes are also accepted. More information on eligible items is available here.

To participate in the Spring sale, register online at the JBF site.  You will receive a consignor number and more information about the sale .  Consignors set their own price for each item and receive 65 percent of sales.  Consignors who volunteer receive 70 percent.  A check is mailed to each consignor after the sale. Consignors also have an option to donate any unsold items to Northern Home, a charity serving children in the Philadelphia area.

Now that the official who, what, when, where, how and why is out of the way, let me give you the scoop.

I participated in the JBF fall sale, and I loved it! The tagging was easy, and JBF's online system let me see quickly and easily what had sold. Plus, it was easy to retrieve the information when I needed to know what was donated for tax time.

Oh man, and when I saw the rows of holiday dresses for 18 months-olds that were priced from $5 to $15, I felt like a kid in a candy store.   Caroline also got a new rug for her room for $15, a new-with-tags Hanna Andersson fleece for $10 and a new-with-tags Gymboree cow coat for $15.

I also snagged a snow suit for $8. "What the heck," I thought. "Even if it doesn't snow, it's only $8." Boy was that a good investment!

I also bought some unopened toys for $5 that came in handy as stocking stuffers and boredom busters. Andrew got a $7 Gap fleece that he loves, and there was plenty for younger boys too.

Just thinking about the selection of cheap Spring dresses for 24 month-olds makes me less cranky about the upcoming snow. And, if there is anyone looking for gently used Talbots Kids dresses sized 12 months, look for my consignor ID.
