The name "Mom Daughter Tea Party" is the most formal thing about this memorable event that is oh, so simple to execute! There are only a few steps, but daughters from ages 3 to 8 will no doubt remember the time that mom took them on a tea party excursion.

Here are the easy steps for Mom to take with location ideas below:

  1. Pick a time: Arrange a time when you and your daughter can get out of the house by yourselves. Have dad or a friend watch your other children, if you have others.
  2. Locate your child's tea set: Most every little girl has a tea set of some description in her toy box. Get two tea cups (and saucers if you have them), two plates and any play utensils such as spoons or forks. Give the items a quick wash in the sink and find a bag or basket to carry them. Any tea set will do or any tea cups and saucers.
  3. Find fancy napkins: Fancy napkins are optional, but they sure make the tea party special. Grab cloth napkins or colorful beverage napkins.
  4. Choose a spot: A tea party can be at a park where food is packed ahead of time or if you have $6 or so to spend, choose a doughnut shop or place that sells cookies, desserts or your favorite treat.
  5. Use the tea set: Once Mom and daughter are at the destination, they have a tea party using the tea set. Drinks go in the tiny tea cups and food is placed on the little dishes. Enjoy each other's company.
