Too many vaccines for young children?

Children receive over 35 shots before kindergarten. According to U.S. News and World Report, the vaccine schedule that most pediatricians follow, recommended by the CDC, takes a one size fits all approach. Babies and young children, as many parents already know, are encouraged to follow the CDC vaccine schedule. This schedule provides for as many as 12 shots in the first 6 months of life. Each shot may include a vaccine for multiple diseases.

Although these vaccines are extremely important and are recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics as well as the CDC, some parents, including myself, are concerned about the impact multiple vaccines may have on a small child's immune system.

One author, Dr. Robert Sears, says he is concerned about giving two vaccines with the live viruses at once-like the MMR and chickenpox vaccines (1). Live virus vaccines tend to cause a stronger immune response. In nature, the author explains, kids don't catch all of these diseases at the same time (1).

According to U.S. News and World Report, even the government is acknowledging that at the moment, science doesn’t know much about how many shots a kids can safely get at once and which children may be harmed. The government has called for new safety studies to evaluate whether a gene variation may make some kids more susceptible to vaccine injury (1).

The CDC vaccine schedule should be discussed with your pediatrician. If parents prefer, shots may be spaced out or delayed until a child is closer to school age (1). Avoiding immunizations altogether isn’t a good solution for families, according to the CDC.  Infections could sharply rise if vaccination rates drop low enough—putting any unvaccinated child at risk (1).

Parent must discuss this issue with their pediatrician. Please determine the best vaccine schedule for your child. In the February 2009 issue of U.S. News and World Report, an alternate vaccine schedule, as designed by Dr. Sears, is available.

As a parent to not one, but TWO children with ASD (Autism disorders) and one neurologically damaged child, there is NO WAY IN HELL my next child will be vaccinated. Let's say over my dead body. Vaccines are NOT safe in any quantity, shape or form. I will not let another one of my children be a human guinea pig so big pharma can stuff their fat money grubbing pockets! The CDC can also goto hell for all I care because they are only helping to hurt our children even farther by adding even more vaccines to their so called schedule. They don't give a crap about our children.
As far as the govt. studies, the funding was secretly voted to be over turned so that won't happen anytime soon.

Where do you get your information? Obviously, you are not well educated. Vaccines do not cause autism (has been proven), children are born with autism. Your nonimmunized children will make children who's immune system will not allow them to get immuzed sick. Is this what you want, someone else's child to suffer from your stupidity?

Excuse me "where is your proof" but just because you are told that something has been proven, doesn't mean you aren't being lied to. Our gov't lies to us left and right because we are lowly mindless peons that blindly follow the herd, baaaaa!
