The shaman claimed more than 800 dead on Main Street Hinsdale at the height of the massacre.
Reviewing the home and properties' haunted history in modern times seems to begin with the Dandy family, who lived there in the early 1970s.
Clara Dandy and her family experienced odd sights and sounds that they could not explain - including sounds with no physical explanation; and physical experiences without its natural sounds. Clara would also occasionally hear music playing in the nearby hills without a known source.
As a way to commemorate the many people who walked this land over the centuries, and as a fundraiser to help create this documentary, Tremont Avenue Productions asked residents from the region to turn out during an afternoon block of time during filming here and participate in a "Spirit Walk" scene. Folks were asked to come dressed in clothing from a variety of time periods and simply walk across the land.
With the help of local media, 61 regional extras turned out for the "Spirit Walk," despite the sometimes rainy conditions that day. One local gentleman even came out with his horse.
Rambacher concludes this historical overview with some stories about exactly what the Dandy family experienced as well as one resident who followed them to the Hinsdale House.
Tomorrow: Webisode 3 continues the story as we see how the team began this trek with a prayer on a bridge below the Hinsdale House site; a brief explanation about how the exorcism scene was planned; and site exploration through the first floor living room and upstairs rooms.
