Haunted Knickerbocker Hotel: Webisode series begins

Milo Arnold and family opened what we now call the Knickerbocker Hotel in Linesville, Pennsylvania, more than 100 years ago - kicking off a tradition of meeting place, warm refuge, and fine dining.

The three-story sandstone structure today is owned by Myrle and Peg Knickerbocker and has undergone extensive renovation - possibly stirring up the hotel's rich past.

Many of the guests today say the place is haunted.

Tremont Avenue Productions visited the Knickerbocker during two August days in 2009, interviewing the owners and some of the guests who have stayed there.

This is their story - the second in our series of paranormal documentaries presented to you as shorter Webisodes.

Kicking off the series today with three Webisodes, Peg Knickerbocker reads a short piece about her reflections on the hotel. Then she and husband, Meryl, introduce us to some of the stories told here.

Stop back Monday through Friday to see more Webisodes as this series plays out.

My fellow explorers for this adventure include Matthew Beucker, Greg Garland, Philip Haddad, and Michael Rambacher. Special thanks to Myrle and Peg Knickerbocker for welcoming us into their charming hotel and hosting us that Sunday evening and Monday while we pointed cameras and lights and microphones at them and followed them around the hotel.

Ghosts from the hotel's past are trying to tell us a story. We're listening.

The famed Knickerbocker in Hollywood is haunted, too, albeit by a more famous clientele. But, still maybe the name is doomed.

Thanks. This is an awesome site; one that I hope to get back to many times in my future. It's really a place where you "discover." There is much paranormal activity here; but it's peaceful and nurturing as well. I hope you enjoy the entire series. We had a great time making it; and hope to provide updates to our audience here in the future too.

I was one of the ISPR investigators to participate in the original investigations of the Knickerbocker Hotel in Hollywood many, many years ago and placed it on several TV shows. It's no longer a hotel now but still holds a fascinating past.
