Just in from Ranker.com - Ian Tidwell of Los Angeles offers "five convincing paranormal stories" he says will wake up the average skeptic to paranormal activity.
He includes - The Exorcism of Anneliese Michel - a case from the 1960s and 1970s. Apparently the Catholic Church determined it was a case of demonic possession, but the woman could not be pulled out of her situation before eventually dying in 1975 from starvation.

The problem with both sides of the case is that illness contracted by attachments are real. You must seek medical attention and maintain it. In possible demonic cases one must be of good health to dispel an attachment of such magnitude.
In the case of Anneliese she denied herself medical attention which led to her death. Its a catch 22, to get rid of the attachment, you have to be in good health, but to be in good health you have to get rid of the attachment.
Science and faith must come together in such cases and this is why most demonics end in death...
