"Understanding Site 516" might be the better title of an upcoming documentary where multiple paranormal events seem to occur frequently - including unknown creatures lurking in the dark, UFOs hovering above the property, red orbs moving from land to air space, and an unmistakable sense that something is watching.
"Exploring Site 516" is the third documentary in a series created by Tremont Avenue Productions.
The land owners there have kindly asked that we not name the exact location - just that it is a large parcel of land on a mountain top in the central part of western Pennsylvania.
I plan to explore this property with you - through my stories here, and with video we shot at the site. And since the story is an unfinished one - we plan to return to this site and continue shooting later this spring - once the snow stops flying.
The story is rather complicated - so let's set up the basics for you.
I received an email last year from Pennsylvania Paranormal Investigator Ernie Delp that included some details on the site and asking for my interest in the project. I immediately hooked Ernie up with Paranormal Investigator Michael Rambacher - who I asked to interview Ernie, get the story overview, and report back to me. What evolved was an incredible adventure.
The site includes two homes and several out buildings - a camp area - a large field - and wooded acerage. Historically we know this site was once an Indian village and burial ground. Carnegie Mellon University, we were told, completed a dig here in the early 1970s, and took more than 100 bodies from the site. And at some point in time - a meteor hurling through space and time decided to strike this piece of land - what I now refer to as the field area.
Dan and Alice are a middle-aged couple who reside in one of the homes; and Dan's niece, Melissa, and her two children, occupy the second home. Alice has a 20-something daughter, Sarah, who frequently visits weekends.

My crew included paranormal investigators Michael Rambacher, Cassidy O'Conner and Ernie Delp; with Matthew Beucker and Philip Haddad on camera; and student investigator Jonathan Beucker shooting for a class project.
My job is to give you the story - let these people tell you their story - and to try and put it all together in a way that makes sense. The background and the continuing paranormal incidents there are enormous - but here's one most interesting story from young Sarah's past.
In her own words, Sarah tells us this story from her past:
It was new years eve 98. I had a group of like 10 friends over and we were in my basement and turned all of the lights off. The Ouija board was actually glow in the dark, so you could see a little bit to see the marker move.

We could only fit 7 fingers on it, so the others watched. We were asking it questions and it was answering right every time. So I'm thinking - OK - I'm going to go sit on the other side of the room with my friend, David, and I'm going to ask a question in my mind.
I asked it "What is my biological niece's full name?"
It spelled out Alexsis Tierny H. (Last name removed).
Thing is, I only told my friend, David, what I asked, and we were on the other side of the room, but not a single person could have known. Most of them didn't even know that I was adopted, let alone that I had a niece born a week before and that was her name.
Photo: Friends of Sarah's stop by to relate odd stories from the property.
The room got filled with a heavy dark smoke. Only me and one other person could feel it, but it came over me like nothing ever before. I got really mean, and my voice changed, and I said "If you don't give me that board, I'm going to break it."
I took it upstairs and outside. When I came back in the house, my parents said I was white as a sheet.
When I went back downstairs, my friends were like "what was wrong with you, you were just sitting there, then you ripped the board up off the floor and yelled at us in a different voice."
I still don't know what happened to me in that moment. It was definitely the darkest thing that has ever happened to me.
CONTINUING COVERAGE
Expect continuing coverage from Site 516. Check back for more paranormal stories from the folks who live in or freqent the area. Next up is a story about a shadowy figure Sarah encountered in her bedroom there. Alice will tell us about odd looking footsteps in the snow leading up to the house - that go nowhere.
Photo: Cassidy O'Conner, Dan, Michael Rambacher, and Matthew Beucker.
Dan has an uncanny story where he was physically knocked off his tractor in the camp area - and the letter "V" appeared on his forehead. Ernie is collecting UFO and other images from the property. And I got to hold a piece of the meteor that hit. The documentary will appear as a series of 10-minute Webisodes produced through YouTube uploads. We're in post production now, but expect the series launch to be very soon.
Simultaneous with the video series, we will also release a collection of still images captured at the site - on our Facebook page. We house photo albums on each site we visit.

Sounds like it's going to be a fascinating series, Roger. Can't wait to read more.
Sounds kinda hokey to me. These people sound like publicity seekers.
Bob - I would not be reporting from a site if the people there were "publicity seekers." No money is changing hands; full names are not being revealed; and the exact location is not being revealed. Sorry - you got it wrong.
"[U]nknown creatures lurking in the dark, UFOs hovering above the property, red orbs moving from land to air space, and an unmistakable sense that something is watching."
Sounds very much the Utah ranch (and others) told of in Kelleher and Knapp's "Hunt for the Skinwalker". Might be another paranormal 'window' area. A note to the researchers: the phenomena in Utah lessened and disappeared because the investigators may have made their presense too obvious.
Steve - Yes, I've read 'Hunt for the Skinwalker,' and there are similarities to this site. Part of the frustration is understanding how to cover the story. If you get too close, as in the skinwalker story, it seems the paranormal gets shy.
I am intrigued by paranormal events as most of us are who have experienced something unexplainable. I just wanted to put my two-cents in that when you mess with Ouija boards and taunt evil you will get evil. It is like opening up a gateway to the dark side. I wouldn't go there myself.
I was wondering how UFO's are connected to this phenomenon or is there more to come?
Annette: There's more to come. The 3-hour documentary was put on hold for a few extra weeks; but should be posted here in April; and we are considering a late-May second shoot at this site. The UFO activity is definitely a part of what's going on up there. It's a very large story that we are attempting to piece together.
Although I have had many contacts in my lifetime, I have found it is only time consuming to try and convince anyone.. It isn't even necessary. We are not the only species in 500 million Universe's, period. Our vibration on this planet is extremely slow, therefore, those that calibrate above 200(David Hawkins) are the only ones who can grasp that we are 99.9999% empty space, eventually all will need to.. Enjoy your research, there are so many experiences we need to have before we can join the galaxy's of knowledge.
