Creepy Lady Spirit haunts old Army Post

Sierra Vista , Arizona-

Fort Huachuca, an old supposedly haunted "army post", was built around the 1870's.

What is it about old military & army posts are they all haunted? Here is yet another tale of a haunting that apparently occurs at an old army post in the state of Arizona

According to stories that have circulated around about the fort, there are several entities that haunt the old 1880's built "Carleton House", that is on the army post.

Doesn't seem that illogical seeing the house was once a morgue and a hospital. Also, it was used as a school house at one time. There may be a lot of "old misty spirits" roaming within its walls. Traumatized souls of those who had painful, extremely, untimely deaths. Souls that are sinfully earthbound and can not move on because of it.

Why this Examiner would say, "What the Jeepers?" and haunt the place myself, if I had passed as suddenly and untimely as they may have.

A ghostly, ghastly lady of rather tall statue has been supposedly seen; dress in a lighter colored, ruffled gown or dress.

It is estimated she may have died in the 1900's, while it was apparently a hospital. There is no certainty on how she may have died or when. Never-the-less she resides there still. Those that have lived there has seen and heard her.

The mysterious lady ghost was given the nickname "Charlotte", by a General and his family that once lived there sometime in the 1980's.,People living near by, have claimed to have seen an apparition of a lady standing near the front entrance and then moving throughout the structure.

Charlotte, or so she is referred to, also rings the doorbell on occasions, even after it had been disconnected.

She has been known to go down to the first floor of the building, an old morgue room and toss things around, both wall (picture's hanging) and floor items.

Cold chills, breezes, unexplainable noises, lights go on and off, footsteps are also common occurrences within the building.

There may be several entities, not just Charlotte that haunt the old house. After all so many died there.

Whether this is just a tall tale or based on fact, we will never know. The old fort still exists and so does the haunting of the ill fated restless lady spirit nicknamed Charlotte.

This is just one of many stories within the greatly haunted state of Arizona.

Are any of them based on fact? How does one prove a haunting?

Maybe someday we will find a way to prove there is life beyond death.

Until then, is it real or fantasy? Examiner will let the readers decide.

Until next time...
