Need a quick tuck-in to include with a gift or a little something to give out at your next book club? How about a stamped and embossed bookmark? The bookmark that I created is wider than most, but I REALLY wanted to use the Bookwormabella stamp that I bought at Angela's Happy Stamper.
The paper used was vanilla colored and very bland, so I cut a couple of pieces from a Cut-n-Dry Foam Pad and inked them with Memories Dye Ink in Mango and Crimson. Next, I placed the card on a non-stick craft sheet and rubbed the ink onto the card, working the ink from the outside-in, in a swirling motion, starting with the lighter color.
The Bella stamp image was heat embossed using Versamark Dazzle - Champagne and Stampendous Pearlustre Garnet Opaque embossing powder. "Once upon a time" was embossed using the same technique. The stamp is part of an acrylic stamp sheet by Junkitz. Unfortunately, the stamp set is no longer available for purchase because the company went out of business, but another one saying could easily be substituted.
Be sure to check out Stamping Bella stamps. They are unmounted rubber stamps with precision cut images, which make it easy to create cards in a jiffy.
