As a goodwill gesture towards it's neighbor, Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani today ordered the release of one hundred Indian fishermen on humanitarian basis. These men can be released by Christmas eve.
The spokesman of the Prime Minister House told media that these 100 Indian fishermen will be released on purely humanitarian basis.
Pakistan's Interior Ministry confirmed that they have recieved directives to make arrangements for the release. "Intent is to have them home by by December 24," said an official.
Pakistan has proposed formation of a Judicial Commission for the imprisoned Pakistani and Indians in jails of neighboring countries.
Prime Gilani also underlined the need for the world community to "persuade" India to resume the stalled composite dialogue to address all outstanding issues so that Pakistan could focus on the war against terrorism.
