Roseanne Wetzel is among local contestants qualifying for the Miss California 2010 pageant.
Roseanne was crowned Miss Mendocino County 2010 Saturday night at Eagle Peak Middle School in Redwood Valley.
An honors student, she is active in Ukiah Players Theatre and the Mendocino College Theatre Arts Department, appearing in such plays as "Home for the Holidays."
Roseanne is a graduate of the San Francisco School of the Arts High School Vocal Program.
She succeeds Meagan Maldonado, who gained a following in 2009 as a martial artist.
This year's Miss California pageant is scheduled for July 6-10 at William Saroyan Theatre in Fresno.
The winner of the 2010 pageant succeeds Kristy Cavinder, first runner-up at this year's Miss America pageant in Las Vegas.
