Claire Buffie crowned Miss New York 2010

Claire Buffie is Miss New York 2010, according to Miss America 2010 Caressa Cameron.

Claire represents her state in January at the Miss America 2011 pageant.

The final evening of the pageant and the crowning will be broadcast live on the ABC television network.

Claire won the Miss Southeast New York pageant to qualify for the Miss America pageant.

She was crowned with the state title on Saturday night.

Her platform is “Straight for Equality: Let's Talk” and her talent is contemporary lyrical dance.

Claire earned a bachelor of fine arts degree at Ball State University in Indiana, according to her website. She was a contestant for Miss Indiana 2008.

She is a professional photographer.
