The Foxy Brown sex tape

Yet another celebrity in the public eye has been incautious enough to partake of a sexual act when there's a cell phone with a camera in the room. Yes, this time it's the Foxy Brown sex tape.

This allegedly involves Foxy Brown the rapper, not the Foxy Brown the singer (and is certainly nothing to do with a tape of the 70s blaxploitation movie, Foxy Brown). Foxy's had her run ins with the law that's true, but there's been nothing in her past that would lead to the assumption that she would use sex as a marketing tool.

But we do have to at least consider such a possibility: it's not been unusual for alleged sex tapes or nude photos to turn up just before the release of a movie, the release of an album, by some comely young woman. Topless pictures of Megan Fox were "leaked" just before Transformers 2 this summer and Vanessa Hudgens latest non High School Musical project's release seemed to conjure lightly clad photos of her from out of the ether.

So perhaps we should be wondering what it is that Foxy Brown has to sell us in the next few weeks now that her profile has been raised?

Or at least, now that it might be, for the story of the Foxy Brown sex tape is currently only circulating on the hip hop message boards and sites. All of them have the alleged tape (most entitled "Foxy Brown superhead" which will give you an idea of what sexual act she is allegedly engaging in) or at least extracts from it which is why we're not linking to any of them. Very definitely not safe for work.
