Ashley Dupree's got a new gig: as an advice columnist.
Ashley Dupree's managed to land herself a slot at the New York Post as a sex and relationships advice columnist. The introduction is a little unfair:
Sure, she's made some mistakes. But now Ashley Dupre, the former escort who brought down Gov. Eliot Spitzer, is sharing what she's learned in her new sex, love and relationship column -- exclusively in the New York Post.
Unfair not in the sense that it isn't true, for of course it is and it's also the way in which she made her name. Rather, it's the way in which she's still being linked to Spitzer in a different manner. For she's actually, at least on the evidence of this outing, a competent columnist, competence not being something we normally associate with Spitzer.
This particular answer is rather good. A woman asks whether there are tell tale signs that a man isn't happy in his marriage. Part of Ashley Dupree's answer is:
We all need to feel loved and appreciated. Ask yourself, when was the last time you did something to make your husband feel loved, special and appreciated . . . and if you can't remember, then that's your sign right there.
Sensible advice that. And just for fun here's an Ashley Dupree video (yes, safe for work unfortunately).

Ashley's advice is trite -- and as old as the oldest profession
