Author's note: This is the first outline of "Sacred Places to Visit in the Southeast States of USA."  Many of these sites are Native American archaelogical sites.  Some are cathedrals that have special features that might appeal to Pagan folks.  I ask those of you who live or travel frequently in these areas--Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas and Louisiana-- to please write to me at Branwenn@aol,.com to tell me about any and all sites I may have missed.  I would also be happy to include your personal observations and quotes about each of these sites in my articles about the individual sites.  This listing page will be updated and continue to be a work in progress.  As the year goes by, there will be several of these outline pages, one for each area of the USA, followed by an article for each of the sites giving an overview of the particulars of each site.  Eventually, I will feature an eyewittness review of each site as well with updated photos. It's going to be a busy year--and we're just getting started!  Slainte!  Travel on!

Kris, Emily and ALL-Let's all pack up and go! There are so many incredible Pagan places for us all to visit and support. I was excited to see that Brookgreen Gardens was having a special exhibition January 30 to April 25, 2010 called "A Taste of Ambrosia: Mythology in Sculpture" which will have "Images of nymphs, fauns, and Pagan Gods and Goddesses"

You have left out Kolimoki Mounds in Blakely GA. Look it up, it is totally worth being on this list.
