Karen Tate: The Goddess of Sacred Travel Writings: Part 1

Karen Tate is the Goddess of Sacred Travel Writing. She is the author of two excellent books on the Divine Feminine and sacred Goddess sites. Her first book published in 2006 entitled Sacred Places of Goddess: 108 Destinations is an inspiring anthology of Karen’s travels to the Goddess power spots around the globe. Her second book just published in 2008 entitled Walking an Ancient Path: Rebirthing Goddess on Planet Earth was a finalist in the National Best Books of 2008 Awards. Both of her books were endorsed by the Joseph Campbell Foundation.

Karen has also published numerous articles about the Sacred Feminine and hosts an Internet radio show, Voices of the Sacred Feminine, every Wednesday at 6PM PST or 9PM EST. Upcoming radio show topics on Voices of the Sacred Feminine include: Lauren Thyme, the author of Along the Nile, discussing the Egyptian Goddess Hathor on 6/10; Joshua Pottere, discussing Teaching Children to Use Goddess Archetypes on 6/17; and Dagonet Dewr, the author of Sacred Paths for Modern Men on 6/24. Karen is also a sacred tour organizer.  According to Karen:

"The energetics of these places coupled with the preparation we make for each journey helps us connect with the deeper realms of body, soul, heart and mind, often providing needed guidance and direction in our lives. We often hear those we travel with say time and place mysteriously seems to dim, as pilgrims immersed in the cycle of past, present and future see history through a surreal lens."

A tour to sacred sites of the Divine Feminine is in the works for the Fall of 2010.  Interested parties should join Karen's mailing list on her website at www.karentate.com/index.html.

Karen has been regularly interviewed in print, and on radio and television.   She is an associate of the Joseph Campbell Foundation and and a speaker in Riane Eisler's Partnership Society Speaker's Bureau. Some of her topics include:
