NEW YORK (Map) - The Building Industry Association of New York City (BIANYC) (http://www.webuildnyc.org) today announced the election of two of its members to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) (http://www.nahb.org). Michael Fazio, Principal, Woodrow Estates of Staten Island, NY and John Nikolai, President, Jealan Fireplaces, Inc. (http://www.jealan.com) of Staten Island, NY were unanimously elected to their positions at the NAHB Fall Board meeting in Seattle, Washington. William Spiezia, Rogers Surveying, P.L.L.C. "We are very pleased to have members of the New York City building community in these important national positions", BIANYC Executive Vice President Lawrence Brinker said. "With the turmoil in the home mortgage market stifling the rebound of new home sales, it will be very beneficial for the home owners and buyers of New York City to have these four highly experienced professionals fighting for them on the national policy level."

First chartered in 1953, the BIANYC is a local affiliate of the National Association of Home Builders, a Washington, DC based trade association representing more than 235,000 members involved in home building, remodeling, multifamily construction, property management, subcontracting, design, housing finance, building product manufacturing, and other aspects of residential and light commercial construction. We are "the voice of the housing industry."
