Seeking Most Talented Michigan Students

Distributed by Press Release

DETROIT (Map) - For the entire month of November, 15 Seconds of Fame (15SOF.com) is challenging Michigan's most talented students to show America the great singing and dancing talent which proudly reside in our state. Thru Monday, November 30th the website will showcase Michigan's talent in a special contest with the top prize of $250 and national publicity. The winning student's school will receive a donation of $100. Interested performers should go to www.15sof.com and choose the contest category "Michigan's Most Talented".

"For eight seasons, the producers of shows like American Idol have substantially influenced entertainment with a parade of cookie cutter pop stars. We've had enough. We're ready to try something new and show the country what Michigan has to offer," said the site's founder John Bonaccorso.

Playing off the cliche "Everyone gets 15 minutes of fame," except giving each entry only 15 seconds to capture it, the site boils down the traditional talent show down to just the highlights, the entertaining bits, and the good stuff.

"We're entertainment junkies. We hail from all over the country, from Detroit to Orlando. All together, we're a couple dozen dreamers, artists and geeks with the power to challenge the status quo in the world of entertainment. Truth be told, we'd all rather be in front of the camera, but we lack talent, poise and charisma. So instead, we're committed to helping others make it big," according to Bonaccorso.

At 15SOF.com, users compete in diverse contest categories spanning everything from Idol-esque singing and dancing to cutest baby contests. Anyone can upload, view and judge the 15 second long video clips. The highest scoring auditions win.
