MCAA Launches Courier College - Brings Members Latest Industry Information

Distributed by Press Release

WASHINGTON (Map) - A new educational resource for the same-day delivery industry will make its premier on December 7. "Courier College" is the brainchild of the Messenger Courier Association of America (MCAA). Its first offering will be a webinar on the topic of 62 (c) employee driver reimbursement accountable plans.

The web-based "Courier College" will give members of the Association access to the tools of success in the same-day delivery industry. It will feature webinars and a resource center featuring best business practices, operational issues, merging trends in same-day delivery and tools for entering new markets. Courier College will include a members-only library of documents, forms and an archive previous webinars, as well as access to live webinars.

"MCAA developed Courier College as a way to educate our membership and increase the professional profile of messenger couriers," says MCAA president Michael Gualtieri. "It is part of the re-launch of our website, which has been tailored to be a tool for the continuous improvement of those in the same-day delivery industry. It will give our members access the tools they need to stay competitive and current in a continuously changing business environment."

Courier College webinars will be open to current and prospective members; with members receiving sharply discounted rates. The webinars will be presented throughout the year, covering such topics as best practices, independent contractor issues, legal and tax issues, hazmat and medical deliveries, niche markets, information transfer, and insurance. Presenters will include industry experts, veteran MCAA members and outside consultants and educators.
