PITTSBURGH, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The International Bullying Prevention Association will present Hope for a More Peaceful World conference, sponsored by Highmark Foundation's Healthy High 5 initiative, in Pittsburgh, November 16 through 18, 2009. Internationally renowned experts will share the latest research and evidence-based best practices in bullying prevention and youth violence prevention.
The conference will offer practical techniques for use in the classroom and school grounds, and an ongoing exchange of resources, information and practices to promote positive school culture, build resiliency and improve student learning and health. Session topics include youth violence and suicide prevention, empowering bystanders, protecting kids online/cyber-bullying, collaborative public health approaches to bullying prevention, bullying in the media and many others. The benchmark State of Bullying in Pennsylvania report, funded by Highmark Foundation, will be released in conjunction with the conference.
