Secretary of State Clinton to Visit USAID

WASHINGTON (Map) - The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) will host Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton at the USAID headquarters in the RonaldReaganBuilding at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 13.

WHAT: Secretary Clinton will speak to USAID employees and staff hall focusing on a new initiative to review our strategic approach to diplomacy and development.

WHEN: Monday, July 13, 2009

Preset for cameras is no later than 9:30 AM

(all video cameras must be positioned no later 9:30 AM)

Final access for writers and still photographers is 10:15 AM

Media will be able to record the Secretary's comments.

No question and answer period will be available.

Media representatives may attend this event upon presentation of the following:

(1) a U.S. government-issued identification card (Department of State, White House, Congress, Department of Defense, or Foreign Press Center); (2) a media-issued photo identification card; or (3) a letter from their employer on letterhead verifying their employment as a journalist, accompanied by an official photo identification (driver's license or passport).
