For the 15th consecutive year, Johnson Controls will have a major NAIAS
presence, as both an event sponsor and exhibitor. Its 10,000-square-foot
exhibit, in room D2-15 of Cobo Center, will be open to journalists and invited
guests beginning
In the company's exhibit area, Johnson Controls also will host two press
conferences focusing on product innovations. The first press conference is

An overview of some of the products, technologies and concepts that Johnson Controls will showcase at the 2009 NAIAS event include:
-- The re3 concept vehicle, a small car, plug-in hybrid-electric vehicle prototype, which features room for five adults and is fully loaded with the latest Johnson Controls innovations in seating, storage systems, information-display technology, human-machine interaction, and renewable materials. -- Sustainable solutions for automotive seating. Innovations to be displayed include the lightweight Synergy Seat, which is comprised of recycled and natural materials and is nearly 100 percent recyclable. -- Seating foam made from natural oil polyols. -- Current- and future-generation batteries for conventional cars and trucks; as well as advanced energy storage solutions for electric, hybrid-electric, and plug-in hybrid-electric vehicles. -- Other industry innovations in electronics, instrument panels, door panels, overhead consoles -- and more.
