CHICAGO (Map) - CHICAGO, May 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- United Airlines customers may visit the Hawaiian Islands more easily this summer through a new codeshare agreement with Hawaiian Airlines, complementing United's 18 flights daily between Hawaii and the mainland -- more than any other carrier. Through the codeshare service on Hawaiian Airlines' inter-island Hawaii flights, United's Mileage Plus(R) members will also have the opportunity to accrue and redeem frequent flyer miles on the flights.

United expects to begin offering the codeshare flights at the end of this summer. The agreement with Hawaiian Airlines replaces United's codeshare agreement with Aloha Airlines, which ceased operations in April.
