Ellwood, Irwin, Pa., 21:50 2nd Place Survivor: Lisa Starcevic, Canonsburg, Pa., 25:36 3rd Place Survivor: Christine Omiatek, Ligonier, Pa., 25:57 Master Survivor (age 40-64): Gail McTiernan, Pittsburgh, Pa., 25:58 Senior Survivor (65+): Pearl Deaniello, Pittsburgh, Pa., 33:58 5K Race Prizes First Place Finishers Male/Female: Winners received a roundtrip plane ticket to any destination in the 48 domestic states, courtesy of American Airlines. Survivor Winners: Prizes generously donated by Giant Eagle, Orr's Jewelers, The Frick Historical Society, Renaissance Pittsburgh and more. First, second and third place winners in each age category received tickets to a Pirates game as well as certificates from local retailers, including Dick's Sporting Goods. The 5K run began at This year's Komen Pittsburgh Race for the Cure event attracted nearly 36,000 participants, including approximately 3,000 breast cancer survivors.
