CIBER Implements SAP(R) Solutions for Georgia's Fourth Largest K-12 School District on Time and Under Budget

Distributed by Press Release

ATLANTA (Map) - ATLANTA, March 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- CIBER, Inc. (NYSE: CBR) has successfully implemented SAP(R) Enterprise Resource Planning Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) -- including Payroll -- on time and under budget for the Fulton County School District. As a result, the SAP ERP HCM solutions that were just implemented will work seamlessly with Fulton County Schools' SAP Finance and Logistics Applications, which were successfully implemented by CIBER in October 2007. Already, the school district is experiencing an increase in the efficiencies of their end-to-end financial and human resources business processes.

"We were aware of the hurdles school districts face with the implementation of ERP software," said Charles Sipos, Project Manager and Executive Director of Information Technology for Fulton County Schools. "The implementation of mission-critical and highly visible applications, such as HCM and specifically payroll, have been well documented. We chose SAP and CIBER because they offered us the best options from a combined software and integration perspective, given CIBER's methodology for implementing SAP ERP HCM within a K-12 district. Under CIBER's leadership we avoided the challenges other districts have encountered during implementation. We're very pleased."

The HCM and payroll implementations affected nearly 15,000 employees of the district and was hallmarked by a virtually error free January 2008 payroll cycle.

"With the successful implementation of applications for finance, logistics, payroll and HCM, we now have a solid foundation for our business processes, from which we can continue to recognize additional value from the SAP Business Suite," said Mike Russell, Assistant Superintendent for the District.

In late 2007, CIBER and Fulton County announced the successful implementation -- also on time and under budget -- of the SAP finance and logistics applications, which include general ledger, accounts payable, funds and grants accounting, procurement, contract management and facilities management.

The next and final piece of the $19 million project is to implement additional HCM self-service applications that will further simplify business processes and reduce costs. That piece is scheduled to be complete by late summer 2008.

"Fulton County and the SAP project team created an environment and team dynamic that is unprecedented. I applaud Fulton County's Project Sponsor, Mike Russell, and Project Manager, Charles Sipos, for their efforts to ensure the success of this project," said Kevin Ziemba, Project Manager/Director, and Vice President of CIBER's K-12 Practice. "The focus on process and adherence to scope were critical, but most important was the partnership relationship between FCS and CIBER. That founded the framework for the successful implementation of the project."

Fulton County Schools is the fourth largest school district in Georgia and the 47th largest in the nation. It encompasses the area of Fulton County outside Atlanta city limits. FCS serves more than 83,000 students in 90 schools.
