American Women in Radio & Television, Women Impacting Public Policy and Wal-Mart Bring Groundbreaking Film, '14 Women,' to Nation

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (Map) - BENTONVILLE, Ark., Feb. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- American Women in Radio & Television (AWRT) and Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) today announced more than 10 screenings of the documentary "14 Women" during the months of March and April throughout the country. Sponsored by Wal-Mart Stores, Inc., a longtime AWRT and WIPP supporter and partner, "14 Women" is a candid and inspirational film that follows 14 female senators in the 109th U.S. Congress. Screenings of the bi-partisan documentary film will be held at select high schools, as well as community and business organizations, including Girls Incorporated, local Girl Scouts, the Women's Foundation of Arkansas and the Wal-Mart Home Office.

The "14 Women" documentary allows audience members to witness the important role women play in the U.S. government and the impact the featured legislators have on the country. The film demonstrates how these women of power balance their personal lives and workloads, while assisting in leading the country and managing issues such as immigration reform, Hurricane Katrina, and Iraq War funding, among many others.
