Saddle up for cowboy trail rides


Trail rides through the fall foliageat Bucks and Spurs Guest Ranch.

Bucks and Spurs is a working horse and cattle guest ranch in the Ozark Mountains next to MarkTwain National Forest.

The Oak and Walnut cabin features 6 inch by 6 inch oak logs sawn from the ranch with solid walnut beams and walnut paneling. This hideaway cabin has 2 private full baths and 2 private bedrooms.

History Lovers

Civil War Buffs - Explore the crumbling remains of what is believed to be Fort Lawrence, a union Civil War fort that was captured by the 14th Missouri State Militia Cavalry unit and burned to the ground in 1863.

    Fall colors will be spectacular. Come to Ava for the Glade Top Tour and Heritage Days at the Missouri Fox Trotter Grounds October 17th and see blue grass bands, horse pulling contest and much more. At 5:00pm there will be a ride on a first time colt by Cecil Huff the Winner of the 2009 Ulimate Equestrian Challenge(TM) sponored by MFA. Go to the versatility arena.
