Silver Dollar City's National Harvest Festival, Wednesday – Sunday, September 11 - October 30, 2010
Put on your dancin' shoes and head over to Silver Dollar City's Red Gold Heritage Hall for America's Largest Barn Dance. Live bands will be playing your favorite country & western and western swing tunes during the Harvest Festival. Plus, seasoned dancers will be on hand to give tips and instruction to beginners.
Bands playing during this event are:
- Horsecreek Band, September 11 - October 24 (Wednesday - Sunday)
- Jody Nix & The Texas Cowboys, September 11-12 and 15-19
- Texas In The Swing, September 22-26 and September 29-October 3
- Missouri Travelers, October 6-10
- Les Gilliam & His Silver Lake Band, October 13-17, 20-24 and 27-30
Barn Dances and live bands are all part of party celebrating Silver Dollar City's 50th Anniversary. Also featured is a huge homecoming event: a Craftsman Reunion.
Silver Dollar City, known as the home of American Craftsmanship, opened on May 1, 1960. The continous year-long 50th birthday celebration brings even more talented craftsmanship, music, art and dancing performances to the historic theme park.

I love to dance! A barn dance sounds like so much FUN! And the largest one too.
I know a bunch of barn dance and line dance enthusiasts in the San Francisco Bay Area. Maybe they'd like to hear about this one...
This sounds like so much fun even for the non-dancers as they listen to music and watch others dance.
Used to square dance - was fun and good exercise.
