Telluride Mountain Village, CO.- Known for it’s breathtaking scenery, extreme skiing and outdoor adventures, this mountain town can bring in the heavy hitters. This year’s weekend long Festival of the Arts scheduled for August 14th-16th, 2009 will include culinary demonstrations by 2009 Top Chef winner Hosea Rosenberg (from Boulder's own Jax Fish House), a free outdoor concert by Grammy® nominated artist Joan Osborne and an outdoor art show featuring 50 national and regionally recognized juried artists.

The signature celebration of the weekend is the Grand Tasting held on Saturday, August 15, 2009. The Grand Tasting event brings together chef Hosea Rosenberg and chef Elise Wiggins (of Denver's Panzano Restaurant) in a celebrity chef duel. Top local restaurants from Telluride, Mountain Village and southwest Colorado will be offering demos with world-class wines and spirits to compliment the evening. It offers guests an evening of distinctive selection of dishes and desserts as they stroll through the European-inspired plazas of Mountain Village.

Grammy® nominated folk singer Joan Osborne has been added to this year's festival schedule. Osborne will perform at a free public concert on Friday, August 14 at 5:00PM on Sunset Plaza in Mountain Village.

The art show is open to the public and will feature artists in 13 different media categories. An independent jury, coordinated by the award-winning Cherry Creek Arts Festival (CCAF) selected the roster of artists, including both nationally and regionally recognized professionals, based solely on the artistic excellence of their original, handcrafted works.
