Stephen Richert began climbing and hiking after developing type 1 Diabetes as a teen. Having lived and climbed all over North America, is currently settled in San Diego where he is in the process of certification to become a climbing guide. Along the way he obtained a degree in English and Philosophy from SUNY Binghamton which has prompted the him to record the narratives of his adventures in the high and wild.
