Horny Toad Bivalent Dress
For Spring 2011, Toad Culture (Horny Toad) is about a road trip to the late 1950’s with a line of apparel for men and women that spews optimism, vagabond and the open road.
Come Fall 2010 and Spring 2011, look for styles that are typically Toad like the the Ally shirt, Postman shirt and Mickey shirt for men, the Bivalent and Double Helix dresses for women, the Rosie the Riveter shirt and Firefly skirt.
The designs land in that sweet spot where what you want and what you need are one and the same.
Nau Dis-Dress
Nau, Horny Toad's sister company, and highly-sustainable clothing pioneer is also carrying a vintage theme with cute dresses like the Dis-Dress and Glimpse dress for women and the Couplet and Guise short sleeve shirts for men. Buy them in Spring 2011 and they'll be in style for many years to come.
For inclement weather, the Wafer pullover is stretchy, water repellant and has a hood that can cover a bike helmet. Available for both men and women.
Plenty more gorgeus threads from Nau (and Toad) will be making its way to the stores in the Spring.
Graphic dry bags from Outdoor Research
In the land of Outdoor Research, where weird is done well, the theme is Alpine-Trail-Rock for Spring 2011.
Their successful Lab Rats program, in which they invite customers to become part of the company's research and development team, netted new drybags with weird (but well done) graphics so you never mix up your dry bag with someone else's. The graphics are also on their backsacks (not backpacks, but backsacks).
If you live in Minneapolis, you can find the new products from Horny Toad and Outdoor Research at retailers like REI and Midwest Mountaineering. Nau apparal is available at TrailMark in Edina. If fyou still can't find what you want, you can always order online directly from Toad, Nau and OR.
