Congratulations to the players of the Park View Little League team from Chula Vista, California. Chula Vista defeated the team from Taoyuan, Chinese Taipei (Taiwan) to win the 2009 Little League World Series today in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Chula Vista's Second Baseman, Bulla Graft, drove in the eventual game-winner during a three-run fourth inning as the California team battled back from a 3-0 deficit. The very next inning, the game was on the line as Taiwan had the bases loaded with only one out. Short Stop Andy Rios turned a great double play on a hard grounder, tagging the runner coming from second before firing a rocket to first, to help preserve the lead.
Chula Vista did a great job battling tough pitching from the Taiwanese team, and both teams should be congratulated on a great performance -- not only today, but throughout the tournament. In fact, congratulations go out to all who participated in this year's World Series.

Something I wouldn't have known about, as I don't keep up with sports. Thanks for the update.

I love the excitement of so called "non professional" sports! My kids have always been involved.
Congrats to both teams!
